Denver-based cellist Trevor Minton performs as a solo, chamber, and orchestral musician and performs regularly with the Boulder Philharmonic, Colorado Ballet, and Colorado Opera.

A native of Rapid City, South Dakota, Minton received his Bachelor’s degree from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he was a full-scholarship recipient, and his Master’s degree from University of Colorado-Boulder. Minton has studied chamber music with members of the Chiara String Quartet, Ying Quartet, and Takács Quartet, and has performed in master classes for Paul Watkins, David Requiro, and Silver Ainomae. His principal teachers have included Karen Becker, Judith Glyde, Thomas Heinrich, and David Ying. Minton maintains a private studio in and around the Denver area.
