Megan Quilliam is excited to begin as Assistant Director at Rocky Ridge! Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Megan has enjoyed listening to and making music her entire life. Megan holds a Bachelor of Music with Honors in Musicology from the University of Sydney in Australia. She recently completed the Graduate Certificate in Arts Administration at the University of Colorado Boulder where she is also finishing a PhD in Ethnomusicology. Her doctoral research is concentrated on opera and musical theater in South Africa. As a member of CU’s World Music Choir, Megan has performed on stage with famed South African musician Johnny Clegg and has opened for South African choir Ladysmith Black Mambazo. In her capacity as a graduate instructor at CU, Megan has taught several undergraduate music courses including Music Appreciation, World Music, and American Film Musicals. In her spare time, Megan enjoys watching musicals and playing the piano, harp, ukulele, and mandolin.
