As a nonprofit organization, Rocky Ridge Music depends on support from donors to drive our nationally-known programs and maintain our beautiful historic property. Your gift can go toward general operating expenses, or can be directed toward a specific purpose that is closest to your heart:

  • Each year, we provide nearly $100,000 in financial assistance to students in the form of merit and need-based scholarships, as well as numerous work-study opportunities. Contributions to our student support funds are foundational to our ongoing effort to ensure that access to our programs is open to all, regardless of financial background.
  • RRM’s mountain campus at the foot of Longs Peak dates to 1909, and many of our buildings still date from this early period. Preservation of this historic legacy, while at the same time upgrading to reflect our current needs, is always a top priority. Our remote location and sometimes harsh weather add to the expense of this work, making support for capital projects critically important.

Whether you donate online or by mail, you’ll have the ability to designate a specific purpose for your gift should you wish. Rocky Ridge Music is a 501 (c)(3) organization and gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowable under law.

Investing in Our Historic Campus

Rocky Ridge Music’s 19-acre mountain facility includes dozens of venerable structures—from humble practice rooms to the historic Hewes-Kirkwood Inn–that are continually in need of maintenance and restoration. At the same time, we are pursuing an ambitious program of upgrades intended to meet current and future needs while preserving our rustic roots. This includes both new structures—such as a performance hall, a recording studio, and additional student housing—and infrastructure improvements such as water and waste treatment systems.

These investments in the future of Rocky Ridge depend on the generosity of our community, and provide opportunities for our most committed supporters to leave a lasting mark on the campus. Major donations for capital improvements can be acknowledged in a range of ways, from donor recognition plaques to named structures.
