Szilvia Schranz is professional singer and educator with more than 13 years of experience teaching voice and piano to students of all ages. In 2003, Ms. Schranz was asked by The School at Columbia University, one of the top K-8 private schools in New York City, to create the after-school choir and singing program which she ran for more than 10 years. While in New York City, she also started her own private piano and voice studio where she taught students of all ages. Many went on to have further successes in music. Some of her students went on to study at the famed La Guardia School of Performing Arts and several were accepted to the prestigious Young People’s Chorus of New York City. All of her students learned an appreciation and love of music.

Now living in Colorado, Ms. Schranz continues to perform and pass along her passion and experience with music to the next generation.

Szilvia received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a post-graduate diploma from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and her Master of Music – Vocal Performance from Manhattan School of Music in New York City. More recently, Ms. Schranz completed Level 1 of Kodaly training.

Szilvia´s approach in private lessons is unique and individual to each student. The only way to ensure long-term success in musical endeavours is if the student is passionate about and finds joy in making music. To that end, Szilvia puts an emphasis on teaching the fundamentals while also cultivating each student’s passion and love of music.
