Lindsie Katz, violin, graduated from St. Olaf College in 2014 with a B.A. in Music and Psychology. She has worked with world-class musicians such as Charles Gray, Francesca Anderegg, Ginna Watson, David Perry, Susie Park, Diana Cohen, Elisabeth Perry, Harumi Rhodes, Aisslinn Nosky, and the members of the Avalon String quartet. After graduating from St. Olaf, she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she taught and coached private students and chamber groups, from elementary through high school. She is also a certified Suzuki teacher, having completed Book 1. After moving to Boulder in August, she has been teaching both private and group lessons while pursuing her masters in Violin Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she is studying with Harumi Rhodes. In addition to her teaching career, she has played with both modern and baroque ensembles, including the St. Andrews Orchestra and the Metropolitan Symphony. She regularly plays with Lake Forest Symphony in Chicago, IL, as well as other groups around the Chicago area. She has participated in The Southern Illinois Music Festival, Icicle Chamber Music Institute, Castleman Quartet Program, Early Music Montana, and the International Baroque Institute at Longy.
