Rocky Ridge Music Center is pleased to welcome the Colorado Brass Quintet (Faculty Members at the University of Colorado-Boulder) as Ensemble-in-Residence for its Young Artist Seminar (ages 15 to 24) and the Junior Student Seminars (ages 10-15) for our 2009 Summer Music Program
Rocky Ridge Music Center (RRMC) is proud to partner with the renowned Colorado Brass Quintet (CBQ) to bring inspirational and exceptional instruction in trumpet, horn, trombone and tuba/euphonium for youths. CBQ members include Terry Sawchuk, trumpet; Dawn Kramer, trumpet; Michael Thornton, horn; William Stanley, trombone, and J. Michael Dunn, tuba and euphonium. The brass program at RRMC will encompass brass chamber music, audition preparation skills, orchestral literature and individual instruction.
SoYoung Lee, RRMC Music Director, expresses “We are thrilled to have such an accomplished Ensemble-in-Residence join the already impressive cadre of Rocky Ridge faculty. Colorado Brass Quintet members bring years of experience as performers and teachers that will surely benefit youths who aspire to a high level brass performance.”
Situated at the base of Longs Peak in Estes Park Colorado, RRMC is entering its 68th season and has the distinction of being one of the oldest music camps in the country. RRMC offers opportunities for youths and adults to study with world-class faculty in an unforgettably beautiful setting. The seminars include private lessons, chamber music, large ensembles, masterclasses, topical workshops, and Music in the Mountains Faculty Concert Series.
